Well, it has been over a month since our last post... that is because we have been moving. After arriving in Seattle I got a job, then we found a cheap place to live in a really cool neighborhood, then Tyler got a job. Sooo we're staying for at least a year.
When we first arrived to Seattle we dogsat for our friends Matt and Juliet (whom I didn't know and Tyler new Matt from running at K-state). Anyways they came back and we were still trying to figure out whether to stay or not so we did a combination of sleeping on their street and using their amenities, Wal-Mart, and a couple hotels. After two weeks we took a visit to Portland and our van started smoking and when we checked under the car it was POURING out fluid. So we were towed almost the whole 100 miles AAA has to offer. The mechanic said it was transmission fluid and we decided not to get it fixed.
So after this, Matt and Juliet invited us to move our mattress in their office area and the four of us and their big dog shared 600square feet =). We really enjoyed staying with them and plan on seeing them more as we settle in here.
I got a nanny job for a great couple with a 6 month old baby who has a permanent smile on his face. The dad does this for a living so they have lots of stories. Tyler got a job here which just happens to be both of our favorite place to get coffee (well him espresso and me a signature drink called cafe nico which is a fancy macchiato).
We moved in on the 1st and have been gradually getting stuff for our place from craigslist, thrift stores, and a few department stores. We live within walking distance of just about everything. Tyler has a 5-20 minute walk to work depending on which location he is at, and I have a 45 minute bike ride along the sea to my work.
